About Clifford
Clifford Heath is a software toolmaker, product architect and designer.
The technical instigator and co-founder of ManageSoft in 1990 (as Open Software Associates) and the designer of the OpenUI cross-platform client-server development environment, he has decades of experience leading teams in building and progressively developing and maintaining enterprise-scale software products across many years and many release cycles.
He has a distinctively clear manner of thinking, and excels in information modeling, cryptography, SQL Server, Active Directory, design for and analysis of system performance, mostly using Ruby, C++, C#, SQL and ORM2.
OpenUI was used for such projects as the helpdesk software for a major Australian telco, by Tandem to construct the client trading platform for the NASDAQ stock exchange, and in numerous applications for major European banks (including online banking applications using cryptographic software co-developed by Clifford).
The software deployment technology Clifford invented for use with OpenUI was expanded into the multi-million line software and asset management application ManageSoft, which is operating in corporate data centers and millions of desktops around the globe. ManageSoft is deployed across school systems, in banks, telcos, manufacturers of aeroplanes and of computers, national armies and postal services. It makes extensive use of Microsoft's Active Directory product, in which Clifford is expert. ManageSoft makes use of C++, C#, ASP.net, Java, Perl, Ruby and MS SQL Server, and the company is a Microsoft Gold Partner.
